| Built in 2001, this cape 2 story log home is on 2.1 acres , mostly wooded. We are in the gorgeous Irish Hills area, near to Brooklyn, Addison , Onsted, Jonesville, Hillsdale, Hudson, Adrian and Jackson. 1 hour away from Toledo Ohio, Ann Arbor Michigan, Lansing Michigan and 90 minutes away from Detroit Michigan. Nestled in lake country, there is a lake across the street (Silver lake) and one down the road to the south (South Lake). Plus the large public lakes 3 miles south... Devils Lake and Round Lake. Plus numerous other lakes in Irish hills area. The home was built by Southern Michigan Log Homes in Morenci, and is from LokNLogs company. The logs are rustic w/ the spliced look w/little bark on them. There is a porch across front and north side, plus a walk out porch from the french doors in family room. The upstairs is a master bedroom with walk in closet, bathroom w/ jacuzzi, and a loft bedroom. The main floor is a sunken living room with airtight fireplace, a formal dining room/family room and kitchen, with full bath. Then there is a full/walk-out basement downstairs. One bedroom has been built and there is room for 1 or 2 more. There is a laundry area w/washer and dryer and all the water heater etc are stored there. The door walks out to back yard where there is a 12x24 size building with heating and a/c, plus running water and lights. (presently being used as a cattery). On the north side of the home is a 2.5 car detached garage. It has cement floor through it all. Plus an insulated and heated room 12x30 woodshop. Various gardens have been planted with flowering trees and bushes, and many flowers and bulbs. Many of the bushes and trees that we planted are now into their 5th year and looking nice. We heat in winter months with propane as well as wood in fireplace. When the fireplace is used, the house can be kept VERY warm. There are 2 ceiling fans in loft and bedroom areas to keep the upstairs from becoming too unbearable hot. Very cosy feel! And such a relaxed feeling. The wood look and the soft smells are enough to relax anyone after a hard day! |

| The above photo shows the home on a summer day, from standing in driveway. You can see the garage in the background. The photo below shows the black locust trees in bloom. For the first few weeks of June every year, the air is strong of soft perfume and all the trees around here are in full bloom. We put another photo at bottom of page also.... |
